Alitalia wins ‘Best Airline Cuisine’ award for the seventh year in a row!

Alitalia has won for the seventh consecutive year the highly coveted ‘Best Airline Cuisine’ award by the readers of US publication ‘Global Traveler’. The major accolade for the Italian airline follows a large, in-depth air traveller survey in the magazine by nearly 30,000 frequent flyers who were asked to comment on excellence in the travel and tourism industry.

The prestigious award confirms an international recognition of Alitalia’s commitment to provide excellent food on board its planes, its selection of quality wines and the airline’s aim to promote a modern twist on Italian fine dining throughout the world.

Fine-dining Business Class meals include ‘Liparota style short pasta’, ‘swordfish rolls with capers from Pantelleria, rosemary potatoes and Sicilian caponata’, ‘San Daniele cured ham served with vegetables compote’ and 'chicken supreme with a Montasio cheese heart accompanied by Tecia style potatoes and fresh asparagus’.

The exquisite Italian food is accompanied by a wide range of the best Italian wines carefully selected by Alitalia's official sommelier and served by Alitalia cabin crew trained by the Italian Sommelier Foundation.
