Alitalia SAI S.p.A. in extraordinary administration informs that the deadline to exercise the right to a refund of tickets and vouchers through a specific application submitted via its own channels or those of travel agents has expired due to the following:
TICKETS
The right to request a refund for a cancelled flight is subject to a two-year forfeiture period pursuant to Article 35 of the Montreal Convention of 1999, which establishes such forfeiture upon the expiry of 24 months from the date of the flight.
VOUCHERS
The right to request a refund thereof is subject to the two-year period referred to in Article 35 of the Montreal Convention, commencing from 15 October 2021, the date of termination of flight operations by Alitalia SAI in extraordinary administration.
Alitalia SAI in extraordinary administration further informs that all tickets and similar travel documents issued by the Company, for which a refund request was submitted within the statutory deadlines, have been refunded or will be refunded upon completion of the commercial and administrative verifications.
