In March 2019, Alitalia has confirmed itself as the most punctual airline in the world with 89.31 per cent of flights landed on schedule. The Italian airline is at the top of the ranking even considering the first quarter of 2019.
The March on-time performance report was published by FlightStats, the authoritative US independent society which every month drafts the list of the major airlines in the world for on-time performance, comparing the data of equivalent airlines for size and network.
The analysis performed by FlightStats reported that the Alitalia’s on-time performance was, in March, about 10 percentage points higher than the average punctuality index of world airlines (79.5%).
Furthermore, Alitalia was the only European airline in the top-5 of most punctual airlines in the world.
